We have 2 Senior Practice Nurses, who perform general nursing duties including; taking cervical smears, ear syringing (see Clinics & Services for more information), managing minor illness conditions and running specialised clinics. We also have 4 nursing Healthcare Assistants who take blood pressures, do blood tests, ECGs and run the INR and cardiovascular screening clinics. We have a resident Phlebotomist and also a visiting phlebotomist service.

RGN, RM, Dip Family Planning and Sexual Health, Mental Health, Asthma.
Donna qualified as a Registered General Nurse in West Lothian, Scotland in 1982 and qualified as a Registered Midwife in Fife, Scotland in 1986. As well as general practice nursing duties and minor illness, Donna has specialised in asthma management, smoking cessation, mental health, contraception and takes cervical smears, epilepsy, leg ulcer management and childhood immunisations.

SEN, Dip HE Nursing, Diabetes and CVD,
Alison trained in Worcestershire and qualified as a State Enrolled Nurse in 1981. Having spent 9 years in South Africa working in anaesthetics and gastroenterology, she returned to the UK and obtained the Dip HE post registration qualification for nursing in 2002. She joined Stoke Road Surgery in 2003 and as well as doing general nursing duties and minor illness, she has specialised in diabetes, cardiovascular disease, leg ulcers and wound care management, travel health and takes cervical smears.
