Community Midwives

The Community Midwife runs antenatal clinics at the surgery on Tuesday afternoons and does home visits after the birth of a baby. She can be contacted via the surgery receptionists. Once you have found out that you are pregnant you may wish to collect an Antenatal Care Plan from reception. This form offers useful step by step details of when visits take place and what happens during the weeks of your pregnancy. Patients can also phone the Midwife Centre for advice based at CGH (0300 422 2318) and GRH (0300 422 5128).  

Community Nurses

The District Nurse team provides care at home for those patients unable to attend the surgery. The direct phone number is 01242 679946 If the District Nurses are out visiting patients, you can leave your name and contact number and a member of the team will phone you back.

Health Visitors

Health Visitors provide care for the under fives and their families. The direct phone number is 0300 421 6166. There is also a School Nurse and she can be contacted on 0300 421 6161.
