The practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. We will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.

Please ring 01242 674 676 between 14:00 and 17:00 for test results.

Please note the time scale for results to be sent back to the surgery may vary depending on where the test was taken.

Specimens

Please complete a Specimen Details form and place with your sample in the clear bag provided. If your sample is incorrectly labelled, it will be rejected by the laboratory and need to be repeated.

When handing in your sample, please inform a member of reception and wait until you are asked to place your sample in the specimen box. (Please note the receptionists are not allowed to handle any specimens).

Sample Bottles

• White top (small) – For an ACR (early morning sample), attending a Diabetic Clinic or if asked to provide a sample by a GP/Nurse or Hospital request.
• Red top –  If you think you have a UTI (Urinary tract infection), have been asked to provide a sample for dipping or to send to the lab for analysis.
• Blue top – Stool sample
